Refurbished 360?

Well I went off to Gamestop today and bought a refurbished 360 and they said I can return the xbox, so long as I never open it. I'm hoping to mod the hell out of it (firmware), but because it is refurbished by gamestop and not by microsoft, will that make any difference? Should I run into any problems? Thank you in advance. PS. it was manufactured in 2007.

Well because I asked them first off who refurbishes the 360's, they said we do (Gamestop), not Microsoft. Then I asked what the refurbishing entails. They said Internal and External parts of the Xbox. Hopefully nothing differs to the DVD drive so I can mod it.

You will be able to mod it. But what refurbished really means is that they cleaned it up to make it look nice and shiny. In the end if your console is not a Jasper it will end up with the 3rrod just like all other pre jasper units will.
