4 Red Ring/litekey Question
« on: February 03, 2020, 01:28:00 AM »

Hey guys,
I'm not sure why, but I recall if you don't have the AV cable plugged in, you should get 4 red rings.

I've recently just installed a litekey on a lite-on, and instead of getting 4 red rings when I have no AV cable plugged in, the console just sits there will the power light on, and waits for me to plug one in. After I do, it boots.

So essentially, it's not giving me an area, it's just constantly on standby, waiting until I plug it in.

Is this caused by the litekey? Or does 4 red rings not happen on certain Xbox 360 consoles (for example, newer ones). Did microsoft change it?

I don't understand why. It's not particularly important for usage, but I would like to know all the same.

that only happens on non-hdmi consoles. on hdmi consoles, it just doesn't boot until either one of the video cables are plugged in. no idea why though.
