IMO both drive switching and drive spoofing are riskier then using older ixtreme firmware. I'm sure microsoft has set up automated flag systems to detect both drive angle deviation/stealth checking, and drive information changing. However, when they take a closer look at the flagged system, it seems like they would tend to ban systems with different drive information than originally set up more often then they would with systems whose firmware behavior is acting in a somewhat abnormal manner. This is just my opinion however, there is no solid factual basis behind my claim. Honestly, I've been running 1.61 online for the last year with no problems, however I assume its only a matter of time so I bought another console off ebay for cheap so I can use that one if my original console gets banned. In the end, I save a lot more money this way, and considering the amount of wealth microsoft has already accumulated, I don't think they will be hurting terribly by my actions.
