C4E's BENQ iXtreme Lite Touch (LT)

Ok i have a question this may be the wrong place to ask but it does pertain to this release. I used my CPU key too get my DVD key i am having trouble flashing my drive , so i figured i will get a BenQ since they were always the easiest to flash for me , and they were rather quite , anyways is the OSIG string related to the model , meaning can i spoof the Benq as hitachi with just the DVD key. I have it Jtagged obviously that is how i got my CPU key , my PC is giving my problems with the HIT drive is freezing if i have via drivers removed and not seeing it in the portio menu if they are not installed , i don't really care about figuring out how to get my drive to flash just want to know if i can easily flash and spoof a new drive too it now that i have my DVD key.

i dont think LT is meant to be spoofed but since its on a jtagged console you can probably load the firmware up in an old version of jungle flasher and try spoofing as hitachi.

i mean with jtag it really doesnt matter. you could use benq 1.61 just as well as lt

Word i didn't even think about it. It doesn't matter if i use the old iXtreme i can't go on live anyways haha. Thanks that was a really fast reply. I just got it done earlier today , and i have no peripherals so i am not getting to try much out except the homebrew dashes from thumbdrives. I dont even have a regular HDD yet thanks again.
Good job on the release guys keep up the good work

"system updates must be applied with caution"

What does that mean?? It has to be done very quietly as to not disturb the big scary monster thats hiding in the closet? Or just a get clause, so when everyone with LT gets banned we can all say "did you update with caution?", no, well thats why your banned then!!??

I think the idea is that doing a system update while having a costume FW on your drive will get you flagged/banned. So return to stock FW first before doing any system updates, then re-flash with custom FW.

should the procedure of flashing LT on a benq be any different from flashing 1.61 using jungle flasher?

also, will it run all the previous game backups i have? or should they all be patched in a certain way to be played on the console?

Guys they flag your system for playing a burned game , they aren't checking your drives firmware. If you play a game and it isn't checked correctly your system has a flag and it does not matter whether you reflash your drive too an original firmware , it isn't what they are looking for.  I am pretty sure the drive reports back stock firmware too the 360 anyways.

Where did that 'fact' come from? I'm sorry but you know as much as anyone else on this subject ( f all ) I have been running 1.4.1 rev2 firmware on my ben q box for a while now, been on live for like 2 months with it so far...I might just upgrade to LT...not sure, im expecting a ban anyways, so i might not even bother.

Anyways, thanks has to be as always given for this sweet fw.

You NEED to have split vid added to your games, my guessing is all older ones will need to be re ripped and then checked with abgx with add split vid if it doesnt exist or isnt valid.

it was posted in #fw... it said that benq release would be LT 1.1 and accompanied by LiteOn LT 1.1....

does anyone have any answers on #fw? lol

now I'm curious about this as well.

Xbins still has the original LiteOn LT version, so I guess there's no update?

Similar question :

Will updating my BenQ drive with iXtreme LT, and then spoof it as a Samsung ms25 (it was the original drive in my XBOX before it stopped reading discs) be fine, or will it be detectable? I have the original key of my Samsung and have spoofed drives before, so that's not new to me.

If LT mimics drive responses time and that BenQ and Samsung have different values, I'm screwed and have to wait for the Samsung version.  If all drives are expected to have the same responses time, then that might work.

Any thoughts?
