THANK U So much.

I have one question. I have 1.61 benq. I back to stock FW and then updated dashboard offline.

NOW which methot is better (safer):

1. Flash to LT and connect to live (small Update)

2. Connect to live with stock FW (small Update) and after that Flash to LT

??????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Small update is mean that sometimes it shows when you connect to xbox live but it isn't big update (like this witk avatars). This small updates didn't show at serwers which allow you to download it on pendrive and uptade offline. Am I rigt?

I'm pretty sure your supposed to flash it to stock, then update. Then flash it to LT, I would do that just to take every precaution.

When Team Xecuter did the tests with the four 360s... they determined that the 360s are only banned if you flash your drive BEFORE doing the Oct 2009 system update.

I've been running 1.41NS since November 2009... and I just flashed to LT... (Team Jungle said that they found the checks being done and no Fw was safe)

My question is... are M$ always monitoring your 360 FW or is it only checked during System Updates?

I alway thought they were constantly checking even offline.  Maybe Microsoft is changing how and when they check to throw us off.

Wow I can't believe it actually works.  I have an old Xenon that requires a Hitachi 78 DVD Drive.  I took a BenQ drive, flashed it with iXtreme LT, put the proper key in and the Xbox accepts it.  I guess it cheaper on Microsoft's side to allow any drive when repairing units with broken drives.  Otherwise they would have to either keep a large stock of older drives or they would have to modify the KV of every xbox that received a drive other than what is specified in the KV.  That could get expensive since they would need to retrieve the KV and cpu key of EVERY xbox they repair.  It makes perfect sense.

Looks like you can spoof with the BenQ version of LT.  I wonder if the Lite-On drive have additional checks built into the firmware which would make spoofing an instant ban move.

To the above poster:

SSV2 is much safer on Xbox Live than SSV1.  SSV2 takes an actual angle measurement where as SSV1 is what Kreon drives give by using a known angle (since Wave 1 and Wave 2 games use the same angle).

You could get away with only using SSV1 with Wave 1 and 2 games but make sure the Wave 3 and higher have SSV2.

I reripped my entire collection of xbox games so they have SSV2 regardless of what wave they are.  I'd rather be safer than sorry.

If a game is Wave 3 or higher it should be SSV2.  If you are talking about a Wave 1 or 2 game and there is a title update, you should be fine.

Like I said, I have reripped my entire xbox 360 game collection with an 0800 drive so they are all SSV2 regardless of wave.
