Flashed 9xxxx With Lt Now It Has "open Tray" Error
« on: March 04, 2010, 10:49:00 PM »

Ok so I will start from the top.  I used a vampire extractor and rebuild board to dump the 9xxxx lite-on.  I dumped it 3 times to make sure I had a good dump.  All went well.  I then used jungeflasher to spoof LT and get a lite-cfw.bin.  Then I used l-o-eras and dosflash to erase and flash the drive, my jungleflasher was not wanting to cooperate.  I put the drive back in the xbox and it said "open tray" with both an original and backup games.  I asked around and did some searching.  So the first thing I was told was that I may have burnt out the laser so I replaced it.  Then I was told to check the calibration data in hexedit, checked it and it looked good.  Then I checked all the ribbons and solder connections more then once, all look good.  I even used jungleflasher to dump the lt firmware and flash it back to original.  One thing that was weird about that is that my computer froze when I hit the outro button.  And after it had been flashed back to original still the same case "open tray". I have spoofed a benq drive with the the original firmware as the source and benq original firmware as the target and it plays games just fine so it is a good dump.  I have run out of ideas of what it could be and I have been looking for over 6 hours to see what I could find.  So please if you have any other suggestions or ideas, even if it is for me to just give up and be grateful that it will at least play original games with the benq I spoofed,  it would be greatly appreciated.

Hye brother , when your changed your liteon's LASER did-it worked???

the LASER of the benq & Liteon are exactly similars so you can tray to replace your liteon's LASER by the benq one's & tray to play games if it work so your liteon's is dead if it didn't there is a problem into your PCB

tell-me did-you heard when you put a disk into the liteon  , the drive turn about 2 seconds & stops with a bad sound & after that the open tray error ????
if it's the case I think the LASER is not going to the good place of the disk when it start reading & ruberband may fix-it (tutos)

So I hope you a good luck

make sure you plug up your SATA cable in the back, i know it sounds noobish but sometimes you forget too or it's loose.
