Hoping someone can help with an unmodded original Liteon 74850C from August 2008 that won't read original games / dvds.

I've opened the drive up and the disc spins up for about a second, the laser moves and flashes, the disc spins down and then the laser flashes again.

I've swapped the lens - same issue. I've swapped the drive motor - same issue.

Anyone got any ideas?

yes, 6 wires, it is very easy, just heat solder and remove wires.  pads r labeled for color wire that goes there.
