« on: February 19, 2010, 02:06:00 AM »

Hello, i bought

360Xtractor PRO v1.2 PTPC FUSES and Vampire addon for newest Lite-On drives. But i dont have spear for old Lite-On like 73850c. Xtractor has 5pin connector for add-on like vampire or spear. Any solution for easy make probe ?

dumping 73850c is easier than dump by vampire. Vampire need 3 cut ant recut traces. Spear doesnt need. And I have homemade spear but i need spear for my xtractor. I need all in one solution withou buy any addons

i know its easier, but not better.  all you really need to dump any of them is a 22 ohm resistor and a piece of scrap wire.

And for repairing the tracks you would use saliva and bubble gum and stick the scrap wire on there?

If you are a "flasher" that do alot of Xbox's, just get the damn Spear addon. It isn't exactly very costly...

that method of dumping is out dated.  if you are doing a bunch, do your friend and customers a favor and to a total firmware dump using vampire.  spear 1.0 only gives a partial dump (no going back to stock).

so, i must do full dump when i will flash stock fw ? etc. Dump with Vampire = full dump = i can flash back to stock  and Dump with spear (73850c) or dump with LO84 = partialy dump = i can not flash back to stock ?

yes.

since you've already got the vampire, you might as well use that. some people have reported having dead liteon drives after flashing using lo83 dump (no calib data). if you're doing it for customers, you should do it properly. trust me, it saves you problems in the long run.
