« on: February 11, 2010, 11:55:00 AM »

I have a MS28 drive which i can get into vendor mode but will not flash at all, i even tried bad flash in dos but it just hangs.

Parallel flash found with Status 0x70

Sending Device ID request to port 0xD000
Manufacturer ID: 0xBF
Device ID: 0xB6
Flash Name:  SST(SST39SF020)
Flash Size:  262144 bytes

but when i try to flash just keeps giving me,

Getting Status from port 0xD000
Invalid Status 0x0

Can this drive be salvaged or is it dead, any help would be appreciated.

You are getting flash properties so you are fine, make a USB boot disc using Iprep and flash in dos, or use Iprep to make a folder in C: then use NTFS4DOS to boot into dos and do the whole process, lots of tutorials for this just look up samsung dos flashing, ez pz
