I could seem to get my question answered after to doing many searches, so hopefully someone has a quick answer.  My friend bought a 360 off ebay without a dvd drive.  So I know we could get dvd key off nand with jtag, but how to I determine which dvd drive version the nand expects so I can flash/spoof a new spare dvd drive correctly?  Thanks.

theres loads of tuts for this.

you need to get the jtag install diagrams for your console type and carry it out.if you read the nand and be sure to get good dumps you can simply flash xell to the nand and then when you power on it will show you the cpu key.load the nand into 360 firmware tool (whatever its called) and enter the cpu key and it will tell you the key and drive info.

ok, thanks....just wanted to make sure drive info is there since many of the tuts just reference getting the dvd key only.
