Windows Can't Recognise Hitachi 46dg
« on: February 02, 2020, 06:33:00 PM »

I has an old xBox and it uses the Hitachi 46D. I used Jungle Flasher but it will not recognise it. I am using windows 7 x64 bit and I have run Jungle Flasher in admin with no problems. My drive is connected using sata to my motherboard.

When I run jungle flasher it only recognise 2 drives, my real DVD drive and my Deamon Tools drive. It does not recognise my Hitachi. I was wondering if anyone could give me information on this slax thing, which I googled and it turned out to be a linux system???? I need to install linux to get this working? Help plz.

Also this is flashing from stock. I don't know what firmware to get yet.

You have to make sure the drive is in mode B before you load windows, attach sata from comp to drive, turn both on, boot from slax CD (change in bios), follow the instructions from the slax cd, check mode B to verify (2 presses of eject to close/open), then reboot comp and boot into windows, if the drive is still not seen make sure you have portio installed and raid drivers removed, try again, should work look on different tuts for JF might help as well
