I just flashed my Liteon series 9 drive with LT, now the center light blinks and the drive does not open. I went back and reflashed the drive and the center light still blinks. I think it might be grounded somewhere. Anybody have any idea's.

You would need to pull the board out and check all the solder points to make sure you have good connections and aren't grounding with it.

I have check them, they look good. Is there a way to use a mulimeter to check for grounding?

It's definitely a solder problem. I was in the same boat as you. I repaired everything and all I was getting is the RROD. Then I tried re-soldering everything and just the center light was blinking with no response from the drive. Once again, I removed all the solder and carefully did the work again, after that, it finally worked properly. you may not be able to see it, but you may be grounding yourself out and cause a no dvd drive detected error. a multimeter should be able to let you know if you joined something that should not have been joined.

if you unsoldered the red black yellow and white wires, that is where you need to look.

I did not remove the red black yellow and white wires, I just flipped the board over. If i clear a spot on the board
to get a ground should there be a connection between the ground and my bridges?
