I'm trying to dump a 74850c that has been previously flashed with ixtreme 1.6.
I'm only doing this for practice, I know there is no point to it.

So here is how I did it:
I used BOXXDR's method minus the switch
If you want pics, let me know and I'll take em.
I made sure to check continuity and everything seems to be fine.
Using (2) 10 Ohm resistors in series.
Using Jungleflasher 1.67 Beta

In Jungleflasher:

SWITH IS IN ON POSITION:

1. I go to MTK flash.
drive is off
2. Click intro
Turn drive on right away.

Get: Vendor 0xFF
Unknown Flash Type
Status 0x72.

SWITCH OFF
3. Click intro again

Get: Vendor 0xEF
WINBOND/NEX
status 0x72.

4. Click read and the firmware reads but aftewards JF won't open it, says firmware is corrupt no drive key found.

Any ideas what might be wrong here?

it expecting to see liteon ofw and seeing something else.  dummy from ixtreme first, then spoof that dummy to the ofw in the ixlt pack, and flash that to the drive.  then dump ofw that u just flashed from drive.  good luck not breaking anything doing all the repairing and re cutting, i suggest getting some copper braid to remove solder, it works much better than a solder sucker.

Ok since that might be the cause. I just tried doing my liteon 93450c and it's giving me the same thing. This one was never flashed, it has original firmware on it.

This one is not a winbond though. Tried reading with both dosflash and jungleflasher 1.67 beta.

Any ideas?

use the newer jungleflasher or enter the firmware as "target" in the older jf.. the old jungleflasher doesnt recognize the fw.

I didn't know there was a newer one, 1.67 was latest on xbin. I just tried 1.70 and it read it perfect. Thanks again!
