Question Regarding Mra Hack (jf Tutorial)
« on: February 03, 2010, 10:11:00 AM »

I have an 83850c v2 i am hacking soon.  Since I do not have a spare power cable, I am going to have to do the MRA hack.

I am looking how to do the hack on the jungleflasher tutorial and the one thing that confused me was that horizontal yellow line.  It doesn't look like it's going through any trace.   Is this a misprint or should i just do as it says, or should i just follow the boxxdr thread?  Thanks very much

To be perfectly honest mate I wan't totally clear on the MRA method.... I'd stick to Boxxdr, it's straight forward and easy to follow... with ALOT let chance of ruining Pad 101.

the horizontal cut is to separate that pad from the trace.  no need to be afraid of breaking that pad either, if you do you can just leave the wire soldered to the two traces and it will make the drive work as if the pad was fixed.

When you cut the lines pin101 and pin 122 (JF pin) the line is cut off  from 3.3V line. (same line 101 to 122)
JF guide is ok. Or use this MRA and JF and Dream or the boxxdr.

Info L-O 7,8,9
If you  damage the pin 101 it can be fixen easily.  Pin 101 Fix
Laser cable off when you are moding and dumpin the original fw.

Question Regarding Mra Hack (jf Tutorial)

boxxdr or MRA method is very hard for me. I can not solder.

What is the easiest way to flash all Liteons without any solder or electronic knowledge?

"Xecuter CK3 Probe v2 – The First No Solder Liteon Solution" says, no need any solder and you can use it with all Liteons.

Is that true why you are using hard and dangerous ways?

Please help me.

They are being misleading so people buy their products.  They say "no need to solder", but you will still need to cut the traces and they are including conductive glue to repair them.  The conductive glue is complete rubbish and nobody worth their salt is going to use it.

Unfortunately you will have to suck it up and learn how to solder if you want to mod the new liteons.

It is a bit misleading alright even though there isnt actually any soldering required, but I have used this method a few times and it does work fine.  However I dont use their conductive glue, I bought some at an electrical store.

OP - If you arent confident doing these methods yourself, have a look for "Xecuter LT Clip and LT Switch v2" this is really a non solder easy method (ive never used it though, so I dont know if its any good),or you will just have to get someone else to do it for you
