Hd Upgrade Not Happening

You need to add the instructions into the evox ini that will format the hard drive.  I don't  remember exactly where I found it, but search xbox-scene and google, and you WILL find it.  BTW, I have the AppleX V chip as well and upgraded to a 60GB successfully following the instructions I found here and other sites.  All the info you need is out there, just have to keep looking.

Oh, one other thing:  While trying to figure out how to make the boot disc, I read that it's highly recommended to do a FULL ERASE of the CD-RW, BEFORE burning it.  Mine worked like a charm.  (Well, it worked like a charm, once I realized that I was missing the HDD Format option from evox.ini.)

Good luck, and if you still need more help after looking some more, feel free to PM, email or ICQ me.  I'll do my best to help you out.

Ok here's what I've done, I have a evox ini file that I copied either from here or somewhere else on the net. I have checked and double and triple checked what the evox ini said. I have edited it to fit my home networking, but for some reason this is what shows on the screen after I boot the xbox. Evolution X Screen comes up I have the option of MS dashboard, Reboot, Power off, Settings, and Backup. It doesnt show install new harddrive which I know I put in the evox ini. So my question is can somehow the settings before where saved on the xbox somewhere other than the HD?
