MRA is needed for the calibration data. Not for the key. Neither are related to the JTAG hack

2 If I were to flash the drive (Lite-ON 74850C) with LT Touch would I still be able to do the JTAG hack later? I am not going to use the box online so I dont care about xbox live just want to make sure that I can play any game without having to use a boot cd.

The JTAG hack is unrelated to the firmware version on the drive. 1.6NS, 1.61NS, and LT play all waves without a boot cd
.
*NS = Non stealth

3. If Lt Touch will prevent me from doing the JTAG hack later what firmware should I use instead?

See last answer.

1. Do I have to do a MRA dvd key extraction to get the calibration data and original keys before I flash in order to do the Jtag hack?

Thank you so much for the quick response and thanks c4e and others who worked on the firmware. So I guess I'm going LT Touch then. Maybe later when I have the time and patience Ill do the Jtag hack. BTW love the signature calloused labia.

Where are you located?  If you are in the USA I can Jtag your console for you.

I have some idea. I want to spoof liteon as benq with lt. Do you think it will increase chance of ban or not?

it won't increase your chances, because it isn't possible. the lt firmware doesn't support spoofing.

you know that you need a 7xxx dashboard version to do the jtag hack, right? odds are you have already played a game by now that forced you to update past this.

I have an issue with Modern Warfare 2, I have patched the SS v2 and DMI but am failing at the PFI. Is there a way to patch this as well? Here is the abgx360 output:

Checking Game
     ISO: "C:\codmw2.iso"
Size: 7838695424 bytes (SplitVid 3rd or 4th wave)
Files in ISO: 149, Folders in ISO: 1

Game appears to have random padding

Checking default.xex
     Original PE Filename:  iw4sp_ship.exe

     Game Name:             Modern Warfare® 2

     Timestamp of Mastering: 2009/10/02 17:48:48
    SS Version: 2 (trusted)

SS Media ID: F66327164FA486B27A77BBBF-2C8C0267 (matches game)
SS looks valid

Checking DMI
Timestamp of Authoring: 2009/09/28 00:00:00 (matches SS)
     DMI CRC = 0904E38B
DMI Media ID: F66327164FA486B27A77BBBF-2C8C0267 (matches game)
DMI looks valid

Checking PFI
     PFI CRC = 2A4CCBD3
PFI is incorrect based on the date this game was authored (should have matched
4th wave)

Video partition found
     Video CRC = 0E58FB9D (V0 = CF942E7B, V1 = 4809B37A)
Video partition is incorrect based on the date this game was authored (should
have matched 4th wave)

Starting AutoFix
Looking for F386D67F1F46C35A.ini in the online verified database
Server file F386D67F1F46C35A.ini no newer than local file - not retrieving

     Using F386D67F1F46C35A.ini (360 bytes)
Verifying PFI_05C6C409.bin is valid before using it for AutoFix

Checking PFI
     PFI CRC = 05C6C409
PFI matches known data (4th wave - requires iXtreme v1.51 [Hitachi only],
v1.6 [using activation disc], v1.61 or later)

Failed to find or open 'Video_1914211B.iso' (No such file or directory)
This is a very large video partition that isn't hosted on the database...
You will have to find it elsewhere and put it in your StealthFiles folder
AutoFix Failed!

Modern Warfare 2 is a Wave 4 game.  It looks like the ISO was patched with an earlier wave so it could be booted on an older iXtreme Firmware.

I would suggest to re-rip the game with an 0800 drive, assuming you actually own the game.

But if you don't own the game or insist on patching the iso the go to the abgx360 website and download the wave 4 iso and install it where the instructions tell you to install it and then run abgx360 on that iso again.

I personally don't recommend patching ISO's, but you may do as you wish.  Just don't come complaining when you get banned.

Just a word of advice for people using the Port I/O drivers: disabling the via card and deleting the official drivers that come with your via card locks up my system every time when selecting my drive Via the SATA port. The only way I got it to correctly see the drive and flash correctly was enabling my via card and having the official drivers present.

It says in the official guide it's not advisable to do so, because the drive could potentially lock up during the flashing process, but I experienced the exact opposite.

Hope this may help anyone having issues with lockups.

I had to delete the drivers to prevent the lock-ups.  You have to make sure that the VIA card IS enabled with an "Caution" symbol on it.

I have no issues with lockups at all since deleting the drivers.  I had the lockups WITH the drivers installed.

Yes, I understood what the tutorial says (disable device, then delete *.sys driver) and followed the instructions verbatim, but that's what caused the lockups. every time I went to select my 360 drive in MTK Flash 32 from the I/O port drop down menu, it would lock up my computer and I would have to restart. Couldn't read the drive or anything.

Reinstalled official drivers and I had no issues through the flashing process. I know it's complete contradictory to what the tutorial tells you to do, but with the configuration on my PC, that is the only thing that worked for me.

Obviously, I'd try first using the driver that is included with JungleFlasher, but the method I used was the only way it worked for me.

Definitely interesting.

Question.  Are you using windows Vista or Windows 7?  If so are you running JF in Admin Mode?

No, I used XP.

Just an FYI though: I've had an issue with my card and a previous version of JungleFlasher in the past. Don't know if it is anyway related to this issue, but I couldn't get my BenQ drive in vendor mode. I downgraded to a previous version that I had no problems flashing with before, and I got it in vendor mode the first try.

I'm guessing that it has something to do with my motherboard not commuicating the way it should with the card and the Port I/O drivers that come with JungleFlasher, but I really don't know.

Maybe there is a problem with the PCI slot.

I have a 60gB Pro with Lite-On that has 1.60 on it.  I didn't actually get banned but using the test on the US Xbox website (the error when you try to get a repair) it appears that I'm flagged.  Is it worth putting the LT on or will I just get banned as soon as I connect to live?  I've been away from the scene since December when I bought an Elite but would love to get the old one working again too.

If you get the error on the repair site I would not bother connecting it to live ever again.  You could put iXtreme LT on so you can still play backups offline without having to worry about the update waves.

i wouldn't call that repair website thing entirely accurate (or at least not for those of us out of the US). 7 of my previous customers called me regarding this, and as of now 6 of them are safe (with LT). the last one was an idiot and deserved to get banned coz he was got impatient right in the middle of the banhammer. then again, that repair site was for americans so it might not have even have been for us in the first place.

Do you mean 6 of them got the error, put LT on and can now connect to live without triggering the ban?
