thanks alot everyone involved smile.gif on a second note they would of course work on the version for the latest distribution 360's first,as most will have the new ones or be getting them.plus not many virgin ts,hitachi or benq drives out there.most are already flashed and probably flagged.not much point in putting the work for models in such a state.i wouldnt be surprised or disappointed if it wasn't even  released for the other drives.why bother really, let everyone ride out the systems on the f/w thats on em,and get a new xbox for use with LT.makes sense considering the warning issued about a virgin xbox.....think about it....think...about...it

i see your logic but there are still thousands of consoles that are not banned and have older drives, probably millions. There are still tons of 360s that are MS refurbs and have benq drives and are being sent out, or refurbs by 3rd party individuals and companies that will have older drives.

i can understand samsungs and hitachis not being supported, but those suck anyways. but benq?

Trying to decide if I should flash LT or the no stealth unofficial 1.61. This is for a xbox that will never be connecting to live. I want the firmware that is best at reading variety types of media. I heard rumors LT had trouble with non verbatim. Is this true?

You would have never been flagged which would mean if you would update to LT, you'll be fine.

You don't need jungle flasher...I never used it...only DOS tools, which is easier and more reliable.

The firmware is undoubtedly coming for all drives. In the past, firmware for one drive is released first and the firmware for the remaining drives follows within the next few days. Most of the time Lite-on was the one that lagged behind, or didn't even release with some iterations of ix. This time lite-on is out first, but it doesn't mean that the others aren't coming. Patience people.

And thanks c4e & team jungle  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Flashed LT to my Lite-On a couple minutes after release, tested a bunch of games. Working flawless. THANK YOU SO MUCH TJ AND C4EVA!

I'm hoping to find out if you can spoof lite ons for the other motherboards before I attempt mines. Also, anyone know if flashing with the 360 power cable safe for LT?

People need to check if their console is flagged before going online with the new firmware. The warranty repair request check trick still works. Go to xbox.com, log in, go to support and request a repair. Enter your xbox info if you can proceed through the request a repair then you're not flagged, if you can't and get the error
Service is not available right now your box is flagged and will be banned new firmware or not. Its going to be pretty annoying with so many people accusing the new firmware does not work when they were flagged in the first place.

Thought you could not flash a Lite On drive. I always though you had to get the key and replace the drive with another and spoof the firmware.

Where have you been the last 13 months? Even the newer 83850c and 93450c drives have been flashable for more than a month. blink.gif

Great job C4EVA! Thanks for all of your hard work. smile.gif

thats NOT how you would check. the BEST way to check is to see if your SECDATA is clean.

that can be done with using XVAL

what you are recommending wouldnt work in this specific case
-a console thats been offline forever and has been playing all wave 4/5 games.

therefore he HAS the latest updates and his console is storing this data BUT because he hasnt been online microsoft has no info that his console is modded. therefore the repair would go through

true... but in previous released they would always say something like... "hitachi coming soon or soon to follow"

they didn't mention other drives at all
