Do you mean 6 of them got the error, put LT on and can now connect to live without triggering the ban?

Just call xbox 360 tech support and tell them your controller is broken. They will ask for your serial number and tell you if you are banned or not hehe biggrin.gif

I was flagged....had a benq drive....flashed back to original....the instant I signed into live banned.....I wouldnt recommend it.  If you want to try it I would at least take a full nand dumb beforehand so if you do get banned you can undo the disabled harddrive features easily

Which features exactly do you lose when you are banned?  I mean, could I use my profile on my memory card and still build up gamerpoints or would it corrupt that as soon as I use it?  Also, do you lose Media Center too?

As it has been said many times.  You loose the ability to install games to the hard drive and Profiles and save games that are used after you are banned will appear corrupted on other consoles if you try to use them on an unbanned console.

Hey all, I'm currently checking some of my backups to make sure they're safe for LT, and I've seen this message on quite a few of them:

QUOTE
Size is larger than necessary for SplitVid

When checking the disc directly within abgx.

and
QUOTE
Size is too large for SplitVid, truncating...
Truncating "/home/jnr/Desktop/x360/gta4.iso" to 7835492352 Bytes... Done

When checking a dd-extracted ISO.

I can always rip the original discs again and re-burn, but I'd like to save these discs if possible. Missing SplitVid obviously means a bad disc, but Google is completely sparse about discs that are too large. Has anyone seen this before?

it won't increase your chances, because it isn't possible. the lt firmware doesn't support spoofing.

I was under the impression that you could spoof if you had access to the original, virgin firmware that came on the drive you're trying to spoof. I'm basing that off a post from the ixtreme forum:

"You can still spoof the drive. Spoofing will copy over the necessary  stealth data from the original drive and put it in the new one. So it  will act like the original one sine you are spoofing it. There's always  buying a drive with the same brand and firmware, but you don't have to."

I might just be confused.

The latest version of Jungle Flasher, 1.71, does NOT ALLOW spoofing with iXtreme LT.  It will now ignore any spoofing data.

Or you could just WP the nand IIRC you need to ground pin 35.

Mega Noob as far as keeping current is concerned.

XBOX 360 BenQ VAD6038
iXtreme v1.61

Is it worth upgrading to iXtreme 1.70 LT?

What is the difference?  Is it LT or 1.70 LT or just 1.70?

And if there are differences, what are they?

BTW.  Been running on live for almost 2 years modded.  I keep upgrading due to not wanting to use a boot disc and take chances.  But if 1.61 is Stealth and runs all waves I won't reflash.  If LT is needed to run newer waves then I will.  Is there a special procedure for LT or is it the same as before?  So one more question...

Is LT needed to run a Wave that 1.61 cannot natively (Again, withOUT a boot disc)

Thank you all for you time.  I wait with baited breathe.

I'm confused.  1.61 has a stealth check that does not allow booting of non stealth discs.  I know that cause I read the read-me AND I have had non stealth discs read as a DVD.

I take it iXtreme LT is the next evolution in this, but I don't want something that will boot anything.  I can throw a boot disc in 1.61 if I wanna do that, but I don't.  I have no reason to care as long as 1.61 handles all the waves that LT handles.  Really, i'd rather have the check than not.  LT sounds like it's better if your banned cause it boots anything.  No boot disc required, I remember 1.61 was designed not to boot non stealth to KEEP you from getting banned.  OR so the theory went.
What I do know is this.  I have had this unit for 2 years now and it hasn't been banned or flagged.  However, I sent it back BEFORE I modded it, about a few weeks before the warranty was up, and they fixed the RRoD with a REALLY cheesy copper tube and extra heat sink.  Looks like a copper tube to a radiator from the GPU heatsink (It RRoDed within 2 weeks of that and they wanted $140 to fix it, so I did it myself with machine screws and arctic silver, oh and I took my RF shielding out to allow better airflow and less heat accumulation).  Point was I sent it in, and a friend from MS said they take your console off the list (Seems every console they make is on the list until it's cleared) if you send it back for a repair and it checks out.  She also told me about 20 different ways they check and why.  Everything from tipster shit to checking the forums for those dumb enough to leave a real Gamertag in the forums and brag about having a modded console linked with that tag.  All sorts of nifty things.  Even the 1-800 tipster hotline.
But my question was not answered.
What is the difference between them, moreover, is there a wave 1.61 doesn't handle natively and LT does?  That is the MOST important question for me, I have, and update, abgx so if LT is the way to go I will and stealth my shit myself.  I can trust myself.  But if 1.61 handles all the same waves, just won't boot non stealth without a boot disc, I will leave it all alone.

Anyone?

You go on Live with anything but LT and you'll get banned as the old iXtreme is now detectable by M$.

LT is the only way to go.  It's safe at the moment on Live and will boot all waves but it puts all the reliance on the user, abgx, stealth patching etc.

Thank you Buzzcut.  I have 2/3rds of this question answered.

So LT is the only firmware undetectable at the moment, and you need to stealth it all yourself if you wanna be safe.  I do find it odd that it doesn't stealth check, but it's ok.

Thank you for the answer.

Last question:

Does 1.61 read all waves?  Or is there a new one or more that it's not compatible with (Not counting the boot disc)?

Thank you all again.
