just finished to read all the 41 pages... my eyes are bleeding...
man, too useless posts around here. If everyone read the entire topic there would be just 3 pages...
It would be nice to put all the good infos on the first post, so that lazy men stop boring us with repeated questions...

that's what i get about the usage of lt:
1. the LT, to be as similar as the original, is without any kind of stealth check, so the only way to play it safe is to use trusted backup.
2. the only way to have trusted backup is to make them from an original 360 drive with 0800. Kreon are good only for wave 1 and 2

correct?

This trust SSv2 angles option, I've been hearing all it does is accept the angles already on the iso regardless of whether or not they are correct?

Anyone care to comment

Also does the SSv2 Angle measurements vary from game to game or wave to wave ?

I just successfully flashed my Lite-on (iXtreme 1.51) to iXtreme LT; Was able to go on XBOX Live and apparently I'm still not banned. My question is regarding the stealth verification ... from what I can gather reading the posts here, abgx cannot be trusted anymore either at this point. What do I do with my existing backups that were fully verified & stealthed for iXtreme 1.51? Can I still play them on iXtreme LT or are they unsafe now?
And what about newer backups ... wait for an updated abgx or OK to run through abgx now?

Thanks!

ABGX never patches SSV1 to SSV2 but it does sometimes patch the data that shows the burner, correct? So if we are using high verbosity see SSV2 and Burner: SD-162c, it still must be SSV2 and thus compliant with C4E's suggestion?

From what I've read your old backups are not safe to use on Live unless you ripped them with an xbox drive (Benq VAD6038, Liteon DG-16D2S, or Toshiba-Samsung TS-H943) with the 0800 firmware.  Your backups need SplitVid and SS v2.

The Kreon drive does SplitVid but not SS V2.

Once the LT for the Benq drives comes out I plan to purchase a spare Benq drive and flash it with the 0800 firmware and use Schtrom to re-rip the games from my originals.

 i. Is abgx able to do SplitVid & SS V2?
ii. I don't play online; just maintain the Live Silver account for uploading achievements, downloading trailers, demos etc ... Would it still be unsafe to even play the old backups offline?

I have a question about modding a Liteon with 74850c firmware, don't think it's worthy of a new thread and am not sure where to put this...

Anyway, previously I successfully modded a Benq drive using a computer with an nvidia nforce chipset, didn't have any lockups or other problems.  Should the same computer work with this Liteon drive, or will I need a Via sata card?  I know I'll need a USBXtractor or equivalent to mod this 74850c drive.   If it matters the hardware version of the Liteon is A0A1, manufactured October 2008.

Anything else to watch out for?

does this mean the drive that I ripped the game with myself? i ran a few of own rips from a TS-H943 with 0800 fw and abgx360 says drivename=SH-d162c.

That is because the drive that was used to get the original game data in the abgx360 was a SH-d162c (that's what the users who submitted the data used).  Abgx360 cannot tell what drive was used to rip the game.  That is why it is important for you to rip the game yourself.

I m just got my xbox, but found out the xbox still in Ix 1.6 which need the boot disc to bot wave 4 dvd, now i dun have any tools or connectivity kit, can i just take out the dvd rom to connect it to my pc with sata cable, then switch it on with xbox power, my dvd-rom is Lite-On and Fw is 74xxx version, i dun have the key too, can i just flash it to Ix LT ??

Am pretty sure you can just use a sata connection and use your xbox 360 to power the drive as long as you have a compatible chipset (google). You will only be doing a DUMMY FROM IXTREME to get your LiteOn 7 series Info as your saying it has IX1.6fw on the drive.

I allways use CK3 kit to power my drives but the XBOX power will work but its allways "safer" to use something like the CK3 as the Box won't be powered on with no drive init.

Does iXtreme LT boot non-splitvid discs? Not asking about safety of such solution (which is propably close to none), but I want to know if I'll have to reburn all my discs with splitvid just to play on a banned console flashed with LT. Tried looking for an answer, but I couldn't find a clear one.

Is it more safe to patch a SSV2 with a wave 1 or wave 2 backup?

AFAIK, it will boot any disc stealth/dmi/ss, etc even if those aren't correct and this extends to SplitVid as well.
