QUOTE(sirreco @ Jan 24 2010, 11:03 AM) *

Hello Experts out there, I have been reading all 38 pages of this thread and I sill have some questions, perhaps some could help me:

1 - Are the discs with 359 angle SS (previously known as Bad Kreon Rip) OK to be used with LT?

2 - I have a  SH-D162 drive that I use to perform my rips, and as mentioned it does not perform the Split Vid rip correctly.  Is it OK to rip them like than and then fix it with ABGX?

3 - I know LT does not support spoofing from other models, but I only have one drive that is Liteon 8xxx, I have a spare one that is Liteon 7xxx, I would like to just test the keys I dumped from my 8xxx drive on the 7xxx before flashing it, not planning on going on Live with the 7xxx it is just to test if the keys are valid.  Is it OK to do that? Could I have any problem going on Live later on with the original 8xxx drive with LT?
Thanks in advance.

1. I wouldn't use them.

2. The Kreon Drive cannot rip the SSv2, get a spare 360 drive flashed with the 0800 firmware.

3. All Lite-On drives are the same, only difference is the firmware.  Just flash the 7xxxx drive with the 8xxxx LT firmware, no need to spoof.  Don't use any other version of iXtreme as it is not known if the xbox records data to the nand when using backups or originals.

As long as the dumper drive is flashed with the 0800 firmware it should not matter.

Even if its is SSv1 wave 3-4-5-6 ripped with an Xbox drive w/ 0800 fw?

From what i have read around forums is all wave 3-4-5-6 and onwards ripped with Xbox drive w/ 0800 fw "should" be SSV2?

So confussed with all this SSv1 v SSv2 business.

I just want o play online lol.

If you use the iXtreme 1.6 0800 for your dumping drive it will come out with SSv2.

SSv1 uses a preset angle value when the game it ripped and a small jitter is applied to it.

SSv2 takes 2 actual angle measurements.  This makes the ISO more like the original.

I have the image on my pc and thats the info i get when i run it through ABGX on high verbosity.

I have been on IRC and still can't get a confirmed answer on whats good and what isn't

Apparently wave 2 and before are fine with SSv1 Kreon rip.

Been reading about this too, and apparently its a problem with ABGX and its database. As of now you cannot rely on ABGX. If you rip the game yourself with an Xbox 0800 drive you will be fine. You can run it trough ABGX but don't have Auto fix on. You can test this out yourself by taking that game in question and patching it with a incorrect SS, then run it trough ABGX repeat if needed till ABGX selects an SSv2 for it. Im sure the game in question is Army of Two The 40th Day(5B93251BBA2B9F7F.ini) and it should have "SS CRC = 5B93251B"witch is SSv2. I knew this would be a problem long before LT got released and every time i asked about the update status of ABGX all i got was "Who the hell cares about ABGX when their is no safe firmware blah blaH BLAH" Now do you rtards see the why i was stressing the imports of an ABGX update. No, just flash LT again to it with the new JF. No need to go back to stock.

Ah, thanks (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

For now i would say no, not till this SSv2 mess in their database is fixed. And wave 5 & 6 support need to be added too so splitvid can properly be checked. So make your own backups (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)  and you will be fine.

QUOTE(Recoilmaster @ Jan 25 2010, 09:54 AM) *

HI,

have an 74850 Drive first flashed with 1.51 some months ago. For the upgrade to LT I used the Tray half open Trick to get the full dump, patched this to LT and flashed the Drive.

Does I need to reflash this because of missing Calibration Settings ?

Thx

The Key reading for the first flash was done with an connectivity Kit and soldering of the R707.

what you did wasn't a full dump, it only pulled certain informaton. when you flashed 1.51 on there, you destroyed your calibration data. doing an MRA dump now won't get that data back.

your drive is as safe as it ever will be. no need to reflash.

i have a question, so do i need to do another key extract or can i use the same dummy.bin that i got before i flashed my drive with ix1.6.
i have ix 1.6 and i want to update to lt, but in jungle flasher it starts talking about doing the key extract again.
yes i know the cal data is lost and its not what im asking so please don't start telling me about that.
