does anyone know what is exactly the difference between SSV1 & SSV2 ? and can a SSV1 be theoricaly patched as SSV2 ?

Also does anyone know if The Kreon bug with angle 359 is patched on the fly on LT or not ?

Am I understanding the warning correctly, we should apply all xbox live dash updates before flashing this firmware?

I like to flash xbox's before powering them on the first time and connecting to live they are now advising against this?

thats NOT how you would check. the BEST way to check is to see if your SECDATA is clean.

that can be done with using XVAL

what you are recommending wouldnt work in this specific case
-a console thats been offline forever and has been playing all wave 4/5 games.

therefore he HAS the latest updates and his console is storing this data BUT because he hasnt been online microsoft has no info that his console is modded. therefore the repair would go through

I wasn't referring to a specific case mentioned before sorry if there was any confusion, but you and I know many many people unplugged their xboxs when the ban wave started thinking they were safe. People will then flash to the lt fw thinking they are ok and hop online and get banned. I just don't want a billion claims saying the fw is detectable when it isn't. Your way would be best, I was just suggesting another way to check if you could be flagged or not via the request repair check......

Can anyone confirm that the 0800 mode is gone?

So I guess the only safe way to create backups is having a second lite-on with the ix1.6 0800 firmware on it?

Bet Microsoft is laughing their asses off being able to detect C4E and the testers Xbox360's with IXtreme LT months ago , now is for them to wait for a reasonable amount of red flags to show up in their screen and activate the next ban hammer.

I mean come on , bet they released it cause they didn't get banned while testing but that doesn't mean that Microsoft hasn't detected those 360's with LT unless they have someone inside the room that controls Live and tells C4E that it no longer gets detected. for all we know they could have upgraded the Live system to instantly ban the modifications that they know off but just alert them about new modifications and they to decide when to ban them.

good job C4E and co. wonder how they got this to work, i know they spend alot of money on testing and such, and still give it to the community for free. but still, haters will hate

Looks like it's time to go buy a new xbox.  Big props to C4E and the rest of the team for their work!

I have not seen a official statement of "only for liteon". so I guess there will still be firmwares for other drivers. and if it is out, i think it will be my last time to update firmware for my old samsung. Since it is waveless and I'm tired to do so.

niiice... thanks. I have a question though..

I personally have a benq, but one of my friends has a lite-on 74850c..

Do you still need the probe and ck3 to flash the lite-on 74850c?
