I completely agree! As soon as money gets involved people start getting greedy and it damages the whole scene. As much as I appreciate the time and effort everyone involved puts in, hacking for money goes against the 'spirit' of the scene.

not saying he did or did not sell the firmware but you must figure sooner or later if a lone source has a product even if its a hacked firmware everyone wants and tired of waiting for ....it creates a market and sooner or later the lone source is going to take advantage of its place and charge for said product.

not wrong but not right in this scene .

hopes to see someone else try this or see the official release its pretty bad that is has yet to be released month or so ago anyway

It means the same as it did when they sold the decryptions via foundmy for the 83v1, They didnt want people using it unless they paid (until they had raked in enough cash to announce the fw is complete and ready for free), Unfortunately for them Geremia broke the encryption AGAIN and made it freely available so VERY soon after in both cases Team Jungle popped up and gave it away for free.

Just to be clear, I'm am not looking to get into a fight or flame war.

I have tons of respect for the people that develop the firmwares/make programs and emulators for homebrew but all of this stuff started from people wanting to explore the xbox and essentially have fun doing it. At one point respect was enough. If people had to pay for things like XBMC they never would have been developed into the great things they are now.
