quit being such a punk.  you're on a forum right now in which 3/4s probably more of the members on here mod 360s.  and out of that 3/4s there's maybe 5 or 6 users that do it to keep originals in tact.
so of course there's going to be a slip up that concerns piracy.
but like they keep saying, it isn't your job to tell them not to talk about it.  it just aggravates people.  you're starting the drama right now, and in my eyes intentionally looking for a flame war is a bit worse than unintentionally mentioning piracy.

edit: also, about the justifying piracy.  i don't think when he said that he was necessarily saying piracy is right.  he was saying that the price of a console compared to getting banned once a year isn't something to worry about.  the price is justified.

here is a theory:

TJ anounce that LT is going to be free after geremia hacked the "DEMO" version bringing down the scheme they had so they anounce that LT is free and going to release it "Shortly" but since the are not going to make any money now they are now depending on the scene for donations before they release it so they dont luck out.

what do you think?
Never pay for this kinda stuff and donate wisely because thats how they get greedy first they get donations and want more and more and before you know it there selling copyrighted firmware as there own and it ruins the scene.

I think all this speculation is getting out of hand. More conspiracy theories here than about the moon landing.

I don't give a shit to be honest. I just want the people to get some money for their hard work - they are worth it. I hardly think that ruins anything. From (to be honest not all threads dealing with this) I've read there is no solid proof (only speculation) that C4Eva has even been in on this money making business.

He wants to flaunt whatever rules he can then so be it , He should expect to be called out on them be it from normal users or mods . The first post alone is the reason I hate when news breaks , people leak in from places like xbox360iso and whatever other cesspit's and expect everything to be handed to them on a plate . Not caring about the tech aspects but what free stuff they can get

Morally he's so ambiguous he does not care about the software itself ( which he notes that 3 games = 1 console ) . The ideology is right there for all to see

Sounds good. I see why they wanted to protect the firmware because now MS will just fix there consoles and the LT will go the way of ixtreme ones before it more or less. However the whole charge for firmware thing is bias since money will light up peoples eyes and monopolies develop.

 I would never PAY for a xbox firmware, even if they were all priced because its a shady thing anyway and MS don't support it and infact its hacked MS code so in essence selling it could bring some serious legal thunderstorm down on anyone doing so.

Its like stealing someones work and then making money off its resale, hence why I don't support firmware for sale, unless its paying someone a small fee for their time (which is ok if you ask me, time isn't free after all.)

Yep This is exactly what happened. They were going to sell it. But Geremia Hacked it and was able to get it out. Now since the same thing is out for free already they are trying to do some damage control. You are 100% right what happened.

I can almost see the headlines during the next banwave. People with LT will get banned and there will be "official" statement that Geremia releasing the unencrypted firmware let MS get hold of it and they reverse engineered it to detect it...and the drama will continue!!!

It's always been a cat & mouse game, And MS will more than likely ban this firmware from Live too eventually, Time will tell but thats the risk of playing online with modded firmware as we all know. As for the encryption protection it didnt really matter with Geremia cracking it so quickly it could've been done by anyone with the know how including MS. Anyone who has used or benefited from using modified firmware should be grateful and thankfull to all the people who make it possible especially C4E. Looking forward to the release and hope to see this available for all drives.
