So I got everything soldered up, checked it all with a multimeter.  Everything seems to be good on the soldering end.


I am able to get status 72 pretty easily in both JungleFlasher and DosFlash.

When it comes to reading though, I get "Reading Bank 0" and nothing happens.

In Jungle flasher about 3 dots will go by until it freezes and in DosFlash it will just freeze while on "Reading Bank 0" down the bottom.

Has anyone had this issue or found a way to solve it?  I've looked around and haven't found anything about it freezing during read.

Any help would be much appreciated.  Thanks!

Ahhhh nevermind (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)  I managed to get it working.


To anyone who has this issue... Even if you don't have a Winbond SPI inside, try the same method used to dump the Winbond SPI.

-in the MTKFlash Tab click "intro"
-it shoudl get "recognized" as unknown flash chip with status 0x72 like it was in Dosflash
-put switch in position 2 (OFF)

-now JF should recognize the Winbond SPI with status 0x72 and you can dump the whole drive

I used these steps to get it to work.  The Vendor and Device IDs and name/size/etc came up the same the second time after turning the switch to the off position, but it read through the banks like a charm.
