Possibly found a bug. Story is like this:
me and a friend were attempting to flash a lite-on 74xx with the latest fw and spoof it as hitachi 0059. All seemed well; we used the was.bin as source, loaded ix liteon 1.61 as target, spoofed source to target and flashed. Reading back resulted in the same fw we just flashed (lite on ix1.61, spoofed as hitachi and holding the correct key) so all seemed well. However, putting the drive in the xbox resulted in error 66 which corresponds with a bad spoof. We flashed the drive numerous times, created the fw in various ways (using JF 0.1.69) but no matter what we tried, this result stayed.
Next attempt: use JF 0.1.67 and try the same. We created the firmware and flashed it to the lite on. Reading back gave us a mssg 'no key has been found; the fw is possibly corrupted' . We tried numerous times and ended up with the same result, no matter what we did. At this point the lite on just didnt seem to want to hold the key.
So, in short:
JF0.1.69 resulted in E66 (bad spoof), JF 0.1.67 resulted in a no-key situation.
Then we decided to create the fw with JF0.1.67 and flash it with JF0.1.69. Surprisingly, this worked like a charm and we ended up with a correctly flashed lite on. As we were totally stumped with this result we repeated the whole proces with ix 1.6NS and the results were exaclty the same. A combination of JF 0.1.67 and 0.1.69 was needed in order to spoof this lite on to hitachi 0059 with the correct key.
