Good evening, just to add some more chit chat to this topic the same issue happened to me..
Was going to flash a friend's Liteon 7485 HW Revision: A0A2 from April 2009, with the 1.6 non-stealth firmware, dumped the key with jungleflasher, and flashed my own Liteon 7485 HW Revision A0A1 from November 2008 with my friend's key in order to test it on his console, usually i don't do this but as my desktop died and i only had a p3 500mhz around to do it and couldn't install the sata card properly by installing uniata drivers or even deleting the via drivers or it wouldn't recognize the Liteons, so has i was afraid of the so called freezing issues i attempted with mine, all went ok and drive was flashed, tested it on console and no problem booted everything fine. Therefore i went to flash my friend's drive, but as soon as i placed it on console it would take ages to read the games either originals or copies.. some would work, others wouldn't.
Strange, flashed it again and same issue, tried to flash teamjungle's latest ix1.61 and same thing, tought i bricked the drive somehow. Posted this issue on some irc channel and one guy came to help and reported this thread, also said that it would be better to remove the ribbon cable that goes to the laser on the drive before flashing, but the error was already made?! So by getting here i was addressed to that geremia's post on xbh, and if that power calibration data was overwritten and drive would not work properly, there could be a chance the laser wasn't dead at all but just with wrong pcd.. so i tought about flashing stock firmware i had dumped.. and baam it would load originals just fine, after that i flashed the teamjungle ix1.61 (also disconnected the ribbon cable) and then the test was successful, all worked.. but has i wanted to flash a firmware that wouldn't need the use of activate.iso on further waves i attempted to flash 1.6 non-stealth again and same stuff occurred games would not load by a random factor either being originals or backups. Strange stuff.. flashed ix 1.61 again and it would not work again.. Had to flash original firmware and ix 1.61 after that for it to work properly..
Dunno why this happened, mine had no problems with this, and only difference is hardware revision between drives.. Hope this helps somehow to solve this issue that seems to be happening to some people.
