Where is everyone getting that this won't be safe online? If it was the wave checks that were causing the bans, then what would be wrong with this one? There hasn't been any bans yet, so how do you know it is unsafe? Just wanting to learn...

All I have left is a Samsung and a Lite-on...I'd be spoofing the sam to a lite-on, but the Xtreme doesn't have the secret lite-on query...so am I dead in the water for having a "safe" non stealth fw?

I think there is a flaw in this firmware.

I use a benq dvd drive to test all keys before i flash the original drive.

I have loaded iextreme 1.6 non stealth onto this benq drive.

I am unable to get the drive into vendor mode now to spoof another console

Ive tried "send keys" using JF

Ive also tried 0800 disc (which i didnt think would work)

Ive also tried powering on the drive with the tray half open

Nothings work

Only get status x51

Any advice?

Once you have IExtreme on a drive,  to get it into vendor you have to do the tray half open, then press "Vendor Intro", should pop into vendor mode...did you try that when you did the half open?

Xtreme 5.3x is for Samsung, NOT Lite-on.

Thinking about flashing a newer Liteon with this and getting on live, YES I KNOW THE RISKS. Would this firmware be better than the regular 1.61 for Liteons? Anyone been banned yet with this FW, I have to pay to get the mod so i dont see the point of getting a FW I will have to update with every new wave. Getting banned is not a big deal to me.

sure go for it!!! become another statistic in becoming banned..

why the fuck people still wanna use this 1.6 is beyond me.. go get a BenQ and use 1.41 Rev3-5 Non-Stealth.and spoof it as the Liteon you have in your console.. Everyone that has that firmware before the late November and early December Dash update, and ban waves has managed to still remain on XBL...

Sure, and yes it's "safer" if that's even possible, but do me a favor?  Go out and get the newer 1.61 Non Stealth for Liteon (check around here and X-H it's available) and flash with that.  Jump on XBL and have a great time... can you report back on how things are going on a regular basis?

Honestly, there is no point flashing with 1.6(1) regular if you plan on going on XBL. So you may as well go with the NS version.

Well obviously because you need to buy a new drive as you say.
