Wasn't going to respond but let me break something down real siple for you. 1.41 nonstealth has been out for ages....boots all waves with no problem for offline play. The addition of ssv2 and other values are an attempt to make 1.6 non-stealth. This is once again not LT....

1+1= 2 if you think this is a revision just for better dvd compatibility you live in a small misinformed world. This fw is targetted towards live...and should NOT be advised but its you decision for usage. What you eat doesn't make others shit....so no one should care what you use.

But when feeding others false info and bad high hopes.......they tend to shit out bans - get it now?

again, no one is advising to use anything. Neither SS, nor anyone else, hell even the people using it don't claim it  to be 100% LIVE safe. Its out there if you want to use it. that's it.

Bans have stopped since a 2-3 weeks ago. You can use any firmware for the time being and not get banned straight away.

Arguing over how safe or unsafe this or any current firmware may be for Live is pointless.  Those who believe it is safe will continue to do so until they get banned.

If you're fortunate enough to still be unbanned, keep it off Live and buy a new retail unit for Live play.  That's the safest (and probably cheapest) play IMO.

Probably calling BS because you declared early on that you wouldn't trust this, and now out of the blue you announce you tried it and it hosed your box, and everyone else has been able to flash the SS firmware without locking their 360 out of the dashboard.  Just guessing that might be why he said BS.

Guys quit the flaming. You're all thread crapping. I just flashed my benq with rev5 final even though I'm fine on 1.41. It's spoofed as a 83850c. Wish me luck. As for getting this firmware off I will try that later on. Im sure the via trick will always work.

It very well could have been user error, but on 2 reboots, exhibited that behavior both times, so I flashed back.
I hit eject and it stopped.
Wasn't worth continuing.
