Hi,
I am currently trying to flash a Hitachi 79. My problem is that once i am trying to turn the drive on vista freezes like its detecting it but then never shows up in the device manager or in Jungle Flasher v0.1.67. This is the first time this has happened. I am using the following:-
32bit Vista,
Jungle Flasher 0.1.67
VT6421 chipset with drivers installed(apparently only causes prbs with lite on drive in the JF User Guide.pdf,
CK3 Kit,
PortIO installed but greyed out on the hitachi tab in JF
Everything above i have used to do many hitachi 79 etc but never faced this problem. My bios was set to RAID but now have changed it to IDE as the guide states. The drive isnt bricked as it plays games fine in the console. I have tried the slax CD 2.1 and the JF Unlock CD.
All other drives work fine including lite-ons. JUST THE GOD DAMN Hitachi!!
I have tried uninstalling all the drivers and doing the JF way but no help. Plus if you uninstall the drivers so your card shows up status 39 then in JF it says no VIA ports found anyways.
