Reflashing Hitachi 0047dj Using Windows 7 64bit
« on: December 09, 2009, 11:07:00 AM »

I have managed to reflash my benq using a combination of jungleflasher and dosflash and it was straightforward enough. But ive been puzzled with this hitatchi for over a week now and still not come any closer to finding a solution to flash the damn thing with ix1.61 is it even possible using windows 7 64bit. Ive thought about installing xp as a dual boot option but if theres anything i can do beforehand then id like to try.  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/love.gif)  Much love to anyone who can help me

your best bet it to use a 32-bit OS due to the driver support. hardware plugged into a 64-bit OS needs 64-bit drivers.

now there is a XP image that runs within Windows 7, but I've not tried it yet..

my flashing machine I have for dedicated drive flashing has Windows 7 32-bit.. works great..

Hey,

Do you have a step by step to reflash a Hitachi drive? My console originally had a Lite On drive but now has a Hitachi drive with the lite on info. I want to reflash to the latest flash but don't know the steps to get this done.

Please help.

Thanks

I had no problem flashing a Hitachi drive in Windows 7 64-bit.

What I did:
-Connect drive to PC using the Xecuter Connectivity Kit in Mode B
-Load the latest Jungleflasher, go to the Hitachi tab, click refresh under drive list
-Hitachi drive shows up
-Proceed as normal

I didn't need to download any drivers at all (not even PortIO32, since you don't need that with a Hitachi drive and the latest Jungleflasher).

Good luck.

Dosflash64 WILL NOT WORK with Hitachi.
