same prob here 74850c A0A2. i think the r707 points are dead . im uses maximus xtractor pro.ive tryed everythin in the jf guide, max, n the ck3 and post i could find. nothin is workin?? ive even made a probe soldered 2 the closest 2 the plug side of the r707 n pinned it 2 the d52 point with no luck.?

im using the maximus one as well.....


i just read the manual and from what i understand there should be ONE green power light on the probe and only lights blue when u make connection to the right spot.. well mine lights up blue soon as there is power to it and where gren light should be is yellow....



donno if that means anyhting......... ?

im usen maximus xtractor pro, jumped the r707 point so i dont need the probe. but still cant get the key

maybe ur solder job is bad?


well hers my epic story..


the spear would lightup blue soon as there was power to it...
i took it back and got another.. this one didnt light up blue it lit up green and no blue on the other led
i touched it to the point.. it lit blue.. grabbed key... first try.... go figure...
then i went on to erase.......failed
erased again.... got the not vendor found or wahtever
erased again.....
again.....again.......same shit......
rebooted liteon... froze pc....
couldnt boot up again......cuz it kept freezing pc..

got dos flash v1.7..
used HP USB boot drive maker and win98 files to create dos boot stick
put dosflasher 1.7 on it
firmtool and dummy.bin and ix16....bin
as well as liteon erase.exe

booted into dos

typed

l-o-erase 09f0
gave me ff80
typed:
l-o-erase 09f0
gave me ff72
powered the drive off and on fast

type

firmtool dummy.bin IX16-L~1.bin
says it was successfuly     (dummy.bin being the file i xtracted with the probe)

typed

dosflash

pressed: 4

typed: W

typed: IX16-L~1.bin

i assumed i was done..

i got an iso.. used abgx to check it.. all went smooth.. burned it to a DL+ disc....

CAN NOT READ DVD MEDIA when tried in XBOX>..

ok. well regular games work fine..

i verified in jungle flasher that firmtool definately changed the key to the correct one on the ixtreme....sooo

i just read about this acticate disc u need... didnt know about that... trying it now...

will report back.

Edit:  activate disc works....guess the game was a wave 4 game i was trying... makes sense.....

long story short....

get key from jungle flasher.

then use

hpusb utility and win 98 files to boot to dos from usb stick put the below programs on the stick as well

liteonerase to erase the drive do this twice
firmtool to apply dummy to ixtreme
dosflash to write it

so you got the key? good for u. i still cant get my key. im usen maximus xtractor pro, shouldnt need a probe. i have no clue anymore. good 4 u though. i guess im goin to buy an fu***** spear then, this is crap. what brand did u get, and where? PM me if u dont want to post.

Yeh im pretty good at soldering, plus i tested with my meter, and everything is good..

try the probe.. its like $14 for a proper probe here.... cant be much more there.. just grab one. scrap the solder apprach and do it...

then follow my instructions in DOS..


now that ive done all this. i can do it in like 5 mins........

ive never done solder jobs on xbox tho.. only wii, ps2 and psx... so i cant help u with THAT....
