Hi guys...i have a problem with MRA method ...

i exactly did what you said at the frist post .but still i  have problem with cutting..
i exactly cut where you showed at the pictures but when i  check the cuts with "ohm meter"still there is connection between cuts..i dont know why........!!!! i am sure i did the cuts well (deep enough)...
and another things is...seems its differnt where you cut..(i mean on the line which you showed) look at this picture:
 IPB Image

after cutting where you showed ..still there is connection between number  1 and 2
so i cut blue position.....but there is connection between number 3 and 1.. and there is no connection between number 3 and 2... uhh.gif  huh.gif     i am so confused

Okay so I've gone through a bunch of pages of this thread and I can't figure out how you get the keys. Do I put a probe on the R707? Then do the switch thing?
I thought I knew what I was doing then I figured out I had FW: 93450C and that I had to use the Boxxdr method to get a firmware dump. lol

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks smile.gif

so i cut blue position....

Why cut blue line?
no need to cut that, only 3 cuts in total, like the OP shows.

Don't forget there's always gonna be some resistance as most circuits come together through other components. So long as your resistance reading isn't 0 you should be good.

Ah i see now you cut the trace right above the via. Missed that the 1st time i checked :-)

Anyway, if your cuts are clean and you have the V2 CK3 probe you should be able to dump the fw without the resistor + switch.

check this

i use jungle flasher... after cutting like how i said before, it says "failed" .... it doesnt go to "vendor mode"..
someone told be it better to use 15 OHM  RESISTANCE !!!!!! what do you think?
its been to long i am workin on it... i think its better to leave it away....
i really need to know if there should be connection after cuttin???? i think it  should ..because The board is "two side board" biggrin.gif  maybe on the other side between the cuts , still, there is connection!!!!!! uhh.gif

hi sorry if im posting in the wrong place. i could really do with some help. i have used boxxdr method to get key a few times before,my soldering skills are o.k, but i am having trouble with a 83850c v1.
i cut the traces as normal and connected wires but when i connect to jf it does not recognise drive and wont intro (without recognising drive) either. i was worried so i repaired traces and removed wires but still nothing, now the drive wont even eject or spin and the laser isnt coming on.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
i havent got the key. i have spare drives so that isnt a problem i just need the key
edit: drive is flashed with lt+ (not by me ) dont have key

I was trying this method and the method listed in JF 1.3.8 I noticed the wiring is a little different.. the one on this post does not have power running.. without the power wired into one side of my switch my drive will not start up. But whenever I follow the directions and switch to the 22 ohm resistor (went from 22 to 18 with no change) the drive shuts off and is no longer recognized by my computer...

I have checked my cut traces they seem correct.

The JF guide says to remove power to the drive.. I have tried turning off the xbox and also just removing the power cable from the drive itself both with the same outcome..

any input would be extremely helpful.
