It is astonishing how we got to EXACTLY the same schematics for the dump.

http://www.elotrolad...140#p1718301152

thats my post in spanish and the schematics are exactly the same, impresive, at least I didnt present it as MY

method since somebody else did the research(I would love to say thanks in my post to the ORIGINAL author)

If you think i seen your post and then copied you, you are seriously outta your mind. First time i did this hack pad101 broke. Then a friend of mine did the hack and also broke pad101. The solution was very obvious. Cut further away from the pad and jump over it with a wire. I don't speak a word of spanish and have never been to or even heard of elotrolado. Every picture and diagram was done by me. The only person deserving credit was credited in the first line of my first post. This was MRA's idea. Adding one little jump does not take away from the fact the MRA was first for this hack. All credit goes to MRA and none goes to you!

I need Help!

I tried everything.

Ive checked the circle and i got 3.3. and 1.8 v

everything seems to be soldered correctly.

when i power liteon ON in switch pos 1 (on) it gives me 0x52 - i tried in dos and in windows in jungle flasher
when i power liteon OFF in switch pos 2 (off) it is detectable in JF and in DOSFLASH but when i click "resend command" and change switch position it goes 0xD1

I TRIED connectivity kit executer and ck 3 lite - resault is the same

i test it on 5 !!!! different liteons 74.... maybe it only works for 8*** and 9****>?

plz help coz i lost 10 hours already !!!

I got status 0x52 all the time until I gently pressed on the soldering at pad 101 using my index finger, then I got status 0x72 right away. I used a 22 ohm resistor and a LiteOn 74850c, so it can be done on the 74 as well. No wonder really as they all got the same hardware.

hi
first thankyou very much for the guide (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
iv got a few questions please
do you take the drive board completly out of the drive ?and unsolder all the wires e.c.t from the drive
does it matter which way round  the resistor goes i.e gold band to the board or switch?
can jungleflasher be used instead of dosflash
also once you have your dump do you solder all the cut traces back up before you flash?
thanks

no need to remove the board completely, just discoonect the 3 ribbons and then turn it over to expose the underneath, best is lay it beside the drive chassis.

as far as i know,it wont matter what way round it gos.

as for dosflash32 or jungleflasher, just try either and see which one works for you ie:which picks up the drive and allows you to read it.

the cut traces need reconnecting, how you do it is up to you, solder bridge, wire or conductive paint, its up to you.

if you're looking for an easy way, bridge 100 and 101 on startup, can be unbridged the second the drive is on, then read. simple as that. no cutting no lifting no soldering. *note* will not work in about 1 in 10 drives, those drives are the picky ones that require the resistor to be lower than 22ohms.
