Help With Bad Lite-on 74850c Flash
« on: December 03, 2009, 04:55:00 AM »

I have flashed all other drives with no problems in the pass, this is the first time I have flashed a lite on.

Everything went fine I used the probe have my key and dummy.bin.

I eased the lite on did the power off for a sec and back on. I got a good return intro to the drive.

I hit write.

Then the problem began goes to write bank 1 and jungle flasher freezes and says program not responding I wait and wait and wait only for it not to react to anything. Left me no choice but to hit end task button.

My question is how do I go about flashing this drive in it's current state since now with no firmware on the drive windows wont recognize it for me to try again. I also can't eject with the CK3 because of lack of any firmware.

Please help thanks.

(Mods I reposted this here because this is where it should have been to began with the other forum post was an error)

After being ready to toss this this thing through a window, I finally got it to flash in dos.

Only thing I did different was I saw a Sata port on my via card I had never tried before, unplugged everything plug it all back in back in this time using that port never tried before. Then I booted to dos used went to flash and now my drive was option 4 instead of 5 in the list of things. Hit 4 hit write crossed my fingers lol and watched it erase and write successfully. Now to put in the xbox 360 and try it out.

Hopefully when LT comes out this will go a hell of a lot faster, probably will be flashing in dos from now on.
