Hey I am trying to get back into the game of backing up my own games so nothin happens to the originals...iv been out since about summer time.

I see that there is the new Wave 4 out, and that there is a SS V2 out.

I installed ixtreme 1.61 on my Toshiba-Samsung drive; will every game currently out be copied ok? Or is there anything out that can't be accurately backed up right now? I saw a few posts saying that 0800 xbox firmware will copy it then I saw that it cant copy SS v2 correctly.

I know I am going to stay off live with this xbox till the new LT firmware comes out, Im just wanting to get a head start (if possible) on my game backups(i bought a ton of games lately!)

Use 0800 drive, 1.61 won't boot wave 5-6 or whatever from what I know (try 5.3C for sammy, 1.41 rev2 for benq?, and 1.51 for lite-on.. can't remember for sure soz). Your backups will want splitvid and be abgx verified. If your doing 0800 backups be sure just to verify with abgx as you shouldn't need to mess with the image since its pretty much 1:1 copy.

will the 0800 copy wave 4 and SS v2? I read that 0800 wont copy SSv2 correctly? Im just concerned on what will copy the newer games correctly

0800 will make ur backups as good as possible. its kreon drives that can't read ssv2 because they use some special auto-jitter thing on the angles that doesnt work on ssv2, whereas the 0800 fw reads angles exactly.
