a.) u have a bad key
b.) the 360 is actually broke not the drive
c.) the tachi is bad
d.) the benq is bad
e.) your customer is trying to screw you
f.) some combination of the above

it is one of those, i have seen 0 evidence from a creditable source of any new security features in benq drives and i have personally done a benq that recently came from a repair center.

a) if it was a bad key, when i updated the benq to 1.61 and put it back into the 360 it wouldnt be working, but it is

b)if the 360 was actually broke, it wouldnt work with any drive

c) the tachi worked fine it its parent console before RRoD, and works fine in my current xbox as we speak

d) the benq, if its bad, wouldnt allow me to dump the firmware properly or flash the firmware properly, both of which it is allowing me to do.

e) all the above are checked as working, combinations arent possible. Any other ideas?

v1.2 - Added support for Samsung ms19.
   - Added prompt for Samsung firmware to copy version strings. This will
allow for those who want their ms25,ms21,or ms19 to report as a ms28.
   - Added Xtreme/iXtreme version detection in the hacked source.
   - Added extra check of BenQ key range for odd BenQ firmware revisions.
   - Added support to detect spoofed BenQ firmware.

Thats the ticker. The BenQ key isnt in a normal key range. It dumps it fine but Jungleflasher and FWToolbox just dont know where to look. Thats why, there is your evidence from a credible source. Can be seen on xbins.

This is one of those drives. I am wondering if this nonstandard key range somehow has something to do with why the tachi isnt being recognized, although if memory serves, the key is transmitted from the drive to the xbox, not the xbox reading the firmware (because it cant, as the firmware is locked), correct?

Its all so confusing lol.
