1) a brand new drive will respond the same as one without modded firmware for the same model... like one out of a new xbox...
2) there is several members on another site claiming to be banned for swapping drives and spoofing with unmodded firmware, so if what they say is true then you can still get banned for spoofing with unmodded firmware...
I'd like to know these several members that claimed to be banned for swapping out drives and spoofing unmodified firmware.. (btw - spoofing is modifying the firmware).
stealthed firmware was most likely the culprit.. 1.41 non-stealth for BenQ and xtreme 5.3 for Samsung I've tested on XBL since the ban hammer on two different consoles and have yet to be banned.. this is likely that neither console had been plugged into any network cable for months before the recent dash updates and were immediately downgraded from ixtreme 1.6 to a 1.41 and 5.3 respectively before ever going online.
still no bans... getting banned on previous non-stealth firmware which I did witness over a year ago was due to playing non-stealthed backups.. which was prior to DVD-Mulleter and ABGX ever being available. if the backups I had made back then had been stealth checked and fixed, I'm thinking that I would have not been banned..
conclusion.. stealthed firmware and non-stealthed backups WILL get you banned...
