'invalid Status 0x50' With Ms28 Upgrade
« on: November 18, 2009, 10:54:00 AM »

I've tried about a thousand times with Jungleflasher, but i keep getting the 'Invalid status 0x50' error while trying to upgrade my ms28 with iXtreme 1.4 to 1.61 and I keep getting disc read errors when trying to boot from a iPrep'd USB (i suspect the ancient laptop I'm using is the problem).
I've tried with both the 0800.iso and the activate.iso that comes with Jungleflasher but to no avail.

So my questions are as follows:
1) What is the correct order to boot things (keeping in mind that I'm running with a PCMCIA card with the correct VIA chipset)
2) Do the aforementioned ISOs need to be burnt in a specific way on a specific medium or is that only if I'm flashing from a slot on the motherboard.
3) Any tips/tutorials/links you'd like to share? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

How are you powering the drive, Xbox or connectivity kit?

I think thats a chipset problem. I had that error with a PCI SATA card that didn't work well, whenever i replaced it with PCI VIA it worked. Hope that helps.
