Just got around to opening up the box I picked up yesterday. (IMG:

This morning I ripped it open (gently incase I want to return it) and happily saw it was a July(2nd) Lite-on. I wont have a chance to attempt to dump the firmware's dummy and see if it works but if anyone else has had any luck with a drive of this date, please give me the details or just say hey and let me know. Also, upon doing some reading on the last ban wave(I lost my box too and posted the details b/c my boyfriend said he felt like my best friend had died) I saw mention of the PERFECT (IMG:
style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif) FLASHING METHOD or something to that extent. Never playing a game on it, never powering it on, never this or that. If anyone knows what I'm referring to, please post a link to reading materials for me! Thanks! (IMG:

PS I agree with the gurus on the ban, I believe it has to do with recent use of abgx and bad images. Sux for all of us who lost a box. On to the next, and in rememberence of the one we lost we shall flash another to play on LiVE! For they will never stop us, because when they do... we will all buy PS3! MUAHAHAHAHA! (IMG:

EDIT: PS2 - Is there a way to move my 1.61 Sammy to the new Xbox and not go through flashing the Lite-On as I am sure it will be much more of a pain?
