has anyone put together a clear thought as to what the common string is on banning?

if i buy a new xbox, probably its gonna have a new Lite-on. This is the drive that is non flashable (if i understand correctly)

The new fw 1.61 for lite-on is the solution and a way to flash the new xbox ?

i bought yesterday an Xbox 360 Elite with the manufactory date from may 2009....get one of these, im sure there are plenty of them to buy in shops....

i am sorry to ask this but i need to know if anyone have a video on how to update the firmware on the 360.
 i am a compete idiot when it comes to firmware update.

i have downloaded all the videos from you tube but there is nothing that really shows you how to do it from start to finish.

sorry for asking this but it looks like it is the best place to ask.

What is the manufacture date of the console? It can be found on the back of the console above the serial #.
