If you have 1.61 installed on the sammys and BenQs, you do not need the Activate.iso.

This is correct.  More specifically, you'll need the original Hitachi f/w in order to spoof the new iXtreme 1.61.  You saved the original firmware, right?  It would have been titled "Hit-OFW.bin" - assuming you read the drive's f/w and saved it the first time you flashed the drive.  At the very least, you'd need the key saved to manually flash it.  You can get it from the existing f/w since it's spoofed.

Go out to jungleflasher.net and download the latest Jungle Flasher tutorial PDF.  It's pretty easy to follow and will walk you right through it.

For the people saying to remove the wave compliance on future iXtreme versions, whilst I agreed at first, at lot of noobs will get banned if M$ realise that more consoles are modified that previously thought more chance M$ taking drastic measures to prevent firmware flashing.

I think we need to be grateful for the current situation were in.

well my rip must be bad because it doesnt boot on either normally but it boots with the samsung ms 25 and ms28 with the activate.iso. It does not boot at all with the ben q drives. Its either my rip or my burn im thinking. because my nec 3550a crapped out on me ive been using the sony dru 710 and its wack

i broke my old sony one pretty sure it was dru one not very good really bought a cheap lite on one had no problems 15 gbp off ebuyer ,re rip and reburn it would be best bet providing you own the game to rip of course..

Is it safe to spoof a Samsung in a Lite-On system?  I have a samsung lying around that I can flash with 1.61 if its safe to spoof.

Flash the drive with whatever it says on top of the drive!  If it's a Samsung drive, flash with a Samsung firmware, a Hitachi drive gets Hitachi firmware, and so on.

You spoof to whatever it said on top of the ORIGINAL DRIVE from the 360.  If it used to contain a Hitachi 47DJ, spoof as a Hitachi 47DJ.  If it used to contain a Samsung ms28, spoof as a Samsung ms28, and so on.

Asking for help with Pirated games, and helping such fuckheads will get you suspended/banned from X-S. This is a firmware release thread, not how to get my stolen shit to work thread. BTW this isn't up for debate. follow the same rules you've been following and you will be fine here.

im hoping for a non wave strict edition soon.  I burn all my games and verify them all.  But need 2 XBOX's to not require updates... again unless its a security feature (not wave check).   Hate having to have them mailed back to update them.
