#fw is mostly full of retards these days and is more of a social chatroom. The only useful bit now is the topic line.

At the moment its just plagued with people logging on and asking (for the millionth time) "is there any news?" which is so annoying as they clearly arent reading the topic line when they connect.

what programs ya use to connect to it? i tried xchat, is says im connected, but there nothing, not even the topic line....

make sure you set it to connect to efnet... like irc.efnet.net or irc.prison.net

I hear that 1.61 is coming out for Samsung and BenQ,,  I hope there is support for Lite on also.  I cant understand why he would bring out Samsung and not Lite on, most Samsungs are no good anymore.

I agree.  I think it's BS.  But still makes you wonder why C4E hasnt commented on this yet at all, starting to look like he is Retired.

Someone stated one the previous page that #fw on efnet topic states IX1.61 soon or something, so thats pretty reliable to me.

I beg to differ, many of my friends have samsungs with ms25 or ms28 and haven't had an problems with them what-so-ever. Besides, my spare Sammy helps me backup my games. I find it quite useful ah thank you.

in the past the new firmware would get released within days of a new wave, even if it ws a temp fix (i.e 1.5.1)... it has been almost two weeks... whats that 4-5 times longer than ever before? and there has been no comment at all from anyone that is actually capable of making/creating new firmware for us to use.

In addition to that having stopped tracking MS traffic back in june (something that he has done almost every single day for years)...

And rumors circulating during the summer where someone said that C4eva is tired of people making money off of something he does for free so he is quitting.

all those things point to the fact that he is indeed retired. unfortunately...

Making money off of someone's idea is nothing new. C4Eva, and when I say this I mean no disrespect, probably knew people would profit off his findings that he was giving out for free. History shows us time and time again that if you have something remarkable, there will always be people exploiting it and charging other people to use that finding. It is sad though that people are profiting from his findings and exploits, but if everyone was well off (In $ terms) then people would do it free and if they had the time. Hell, Linux is a good one to use as an example. People profit off open source and then turn around, make it better or different and sell it as their own.

Even if or when 1.61 or 1.7 come out, it will be quickly advertised by many that they can update/flash their customers firmware.

All in all, if you're going to have an idea and give it out to the public for free, you better be prepared for it to be used and profited from by so many others.

Lol and that makes it so huh? It would be on front page of xbox-scene if it was legit.  And he wouldnt say it will be done when I feels like it??? And releasing it for Samsung and BenQ.  I dont think so.  It would be Liteon and Benq, easy giveaway.  The guy is retired.  FW says 1.61 in dev because some idiot is assuming it is in dev, when it's not.
