I can confirm that the ACTIVATE.ISO burning tutorial (that I posted a while ago and got copied to here) doesn't work.  When using Imgburn you need to choose "YES" when asked if you want to burn to just one layer.

£20 worth of wasted Verbatim that I burned a few weeks ago when I was expecting lots of new LiteOns!  Oh well!

Anyway, if your activate.iso disc is burned properly it doesn't matter whether autoplay is on or not, although if you're paranoid you may want it switched off so that MS don't see you playing five-second movies all the time!  It works in either case (on my BenQ at least!)

Guys, Im using 1.51 with my samsung and cod:mw2 it boots without the activate disk, I will video it if proof is needed.

Interesting as they say that Wave 4 wont boot with 1.51 (from ABGX). As you know 1.61 is out in any case

Yeah, just thought it was a interesting little fact, I got a batch of my old flashed boxes back today for 1.61 fw upgrades but my advise would be wait for 1.7 unless you just cant get any form of wave 4 play.

If you can get wave 4 to boot using 1.51-1.6, even using a activate.iso then why bother with 1.61, for the most of us on this site its really no issue to upgrade but that being said----

In the past 5 months I have been asked by loads of folks to upgrade their FW on each release, 1.7 wont be far so if you can get it to work I would advise waiting.

barring a glaring fault with the fw which there wont be or a big security hole which there wont be i cant see any need or point in 1.7 atm either hell im glad of any firmware they dont have to give us and they do it for free yet  people still bitch and expect it there and then and dont even say so much as thanks
ra2 im not sure if the disk works or not i cant see into your house like but it could be one of the ones that have been put to wave 3 i wont mention group names ect for somewhat obvious reasons ..

Where you get this info from, do you have a link or discussion somewhere?. Updating my/ friends firmwares is not an issue at all....I can do it in under 5min. Im still on 1.6 as Im not playing any Wave4 games atm...lest not till Modern Warfare 2..hehe

I second that, any FW put our way is a blessing.

sure i can get it to work but anyone who mods xbox alot will want the latest and newest fw specialy if there paranoid the iso is in no way as safe as a firmware and the old firmware wont be as safe as new ones that would be why we want to update even if 1.7 did come out how hard is it to reopen xbox pull out dvd and reflash ..

Im still running the first ms25 stealth bios from commodore64 released ages ago as i only need to back up games so they dont get wrecked and can use the original discs to play on live seeing i dont go online often. And the old samsung bios plays all waves and every disc that has come out from the begining of the 360 modding era. To keep it simple and stop piracy use and old bios to play backups and play your original games online.

Sadly not only race o rama is a wave 4 game, but Tekken 6, too.
I can't seem to get it too work. I checked some other forum and read I'd have to patch the iso with ppf-o-matic, using the patch "v14-15.ppf".
When I boosted the patched iso, my 360 told me the game can't be played before I update my dashboard, when I tried doing that, it just failed (tried 3 times).

I have no idea what DVD drive or version I have (I'M a noob I guess). I just installed XNE from Vesperia though.
I don't plan to ever get online with my 360, so I'd just want a quick fix that'll allow me to play Tekken6.

Can you tell me where I can check what drive/version I have and if possible link me to the patch that will update it to iXtreme 1.51 (that will be fine for me, I'd preferably not have not use a boot disc).

i would guess console is off line if not don't use ppf patches you shouldn't really use them anyways but that's neither here nor there ,easiest way to check what drive is in your 360 without opening would be take off face plate get torch point at the hole look in it see if there a wire if it is white that will be benq .yellow will be lite on ,i think it is red for samsung ,and no hole for brickachi
1.51 will only work with Hitachi you need at least 1.6 to play wave 4 games and if it is a lite on you have no option at present but to use activate iso you can update to 1.61 for samsung and benq and wont need the iso hitachi can be hit and miss with reading wave 4 myself i would get key off it and spoof to benq
i would think that 1.6 and 1.61 woldent boot ppf patched games as i would guess they would be classed as modded disks unless modded means like cod waw for zombies with infinite life ,amo all paped guns ect
which some use to get them selfs high on leader boards i do hope they got hit with ban hammer
with games like tekken 6 you need to be online or it is pointless
i would guess that you drive is already flashed so you wont need probe should it  be a lite on 7 series
the 8 series v2 is currently unflashable as is v9 unless someone done something over night that i don't know about the jungle flasher guide will help you or utube or here for iprep or dos depsnds on which way you want  to flash ..
