Yeah it is (the subtitle for this thread actually says it), but I think he was asking whether Forza 3 will be a wave 4 game also and i assume it will be.

just found that FORZA 3 is wave 3... so were all good on that front, but what will happen to the likes of PES and ASSASSINS CREED.......

what with the new liteons and now this wave release i think someone wants to make things slighty more difficult for us to play are backups

I am one of those noobs that pays for flashing his xbox, so i don't have jungleflasher with the mentioned download link. I hope its not an illegal question for the board and if it is, i'm sorry and please delete the post..

So in theory people..

Using the activate.iso disc will let the 360 boot the wave 4 game (if your on 1.6). The drive will not check the dvd for stealth/partition info, but it will still USE the stealth etc from the DVD if it is present. So as long as your 10000% sure your image is verified and stealthed up you should be safe, the 1.6 fw is just using a `belt and braces' method so to say to protect the user from booting bad backups. So there would be no need to update to a new firmware if one became available as long as your sure your backups are good.

This sound right?

As said before, will flashing back to 1.51 cure all future wave issues? I have no need for 0800 ripping on this drive and it will be annoying to update firmware every 6 months or so when the firmware is setup for future waves apparently.

If I already have the Activate-800 disc made in 2006 for Samsung - could I use it for any drive?
Or I have to use the one from JF pack for LiteOns?
I'd rather have a few beers instead of wasting a DL disc

IX 1.5.1 was a quick fix for wave 3. Essentially the strict stealth compliance for Live was removed too allow the boot of wave 3 games. This means that even if the game does not pass all the security checks it will still boot. This is why IX 1.5.1 will boot wave 3.

For Live safety this was locked out of IX 1.6.

yeah i think that's right. as long as your back up is 100% stealthed like it should be, popping in the activate ISO and booting a fully stealthed backup should work and be safe. though i'll probably wait until 1.7 or 1.61 or until some 100% solid info comes through.

I think the activate800 is differnt the then activate disk for the ix1.6

Didnt work when i used a single layer, i had to use a DL dvd & pointed CloneCD to the activate.iso & burned
