So apparently iXtreme 1.51 works with wave 4 but iXtreme 1.6 only works with Wave 1, 2 & 3

What ever happened to supporting all future waves automatically?

If you have iXtreme 1.6 you have to use the activate.iso disk to get this game to boot.

Yes as long as you don't have a Liteon 8xxx drive.

Huh? Really?

I got the latest Liteon, was a bitch to flash, but I don't remember anything saying you can't downgrade it. Why not? I am not saying you're wrong, I am just curious. That would also mean you can't put original firmware back on it then, too. Again, seems odd and I hadn't read that before.

The only hacked firmware to come out for liteon 83xxx is 1.6 so its not that you can't downgrade. It is that there is nothing to downgrade to.

Also there was no orignal firmware released for any lite-on. Once they are flashed we don't have a orignal to downgrade to. The dummy.bin does not contain a complete firmware.

How about flashing the LiteOn 83xxx with a 74xxx iXtreme 1.51 and spoofing it as LiteOn 83xxx?

No, does not work. Just tried it and JungleFlasher wont do it.

Does this mean, if currently flashing drives it would be better to flash with iXtreme 1.51 instead of 1.6 ?

I just extracted my key for the first time and am up to flashing the drive, so I would like to know if I should put iXtreme 1.51 on instead.
At least until new iXtreme comes out or something?

Makes me wish we were back in the old days of unstealthed firmware. When you could play anything and not have to worry about making sure a game is patched correctly. Only thing you had to worry about was when you were going to get banned again lol.

I think it would be a good idea if there was an option for all current drives out there to have an unstealthed firmware as not everyone wants or plays live. Also they wouldnt need to have it upgraded to to keep on playing new games when they have no intention of using live.

Just a thought what do you guys think?
