Update: just got another xbox from repair center in new zealand and it also has the same issue, no key extraction:

also has the new service sticker on the back as well. aug 2009 drive. 83850c and 3 months live.

since i came across that one the other day have been able to do 83850c drives right up to the following date of manufacture: 2009-07-20 this was in a white box an elite. so  some of the white box V2 elites are modifiable.

well well just for my info...hawe you possibility to take a photo of this new benq?
more important the spi flash is external same to old?
but if this is same to old really easy to work direct on the little "spi"

c4eva has confirmed the new 83850c has no key output, not that I doubted it anywa

the drives pcb in the new liteon look identical to the old. sorry if i confused you with previous comment as I was talking about some other persons benq drives, the problem here is with the new liteon's cheers buddy

i have an august 2009, 83850c drive that cant be done.... i have done many drives b4 so know when something is wrong... i also know how to follow instructions and am still having problems.


this box is a Elite bought NEW the U.K on 28/09/09 i have noticed that the power supply is smaller on this xbox but other than that nothing else.

i also got one manufactured in september elite black color 120 gb without hdmi suppied. I tried and tried and finally got good dump.

just opened the drive and ejected the half way manually and pulled its tray to full open manully.

it worked

Just got a Elite purchased today dated 30 July 09 drive is also dated July 09 dumped ok.

Arcade machine purchased from the same shop but August on the back of the console and July 09 on the drive.. could not dump.

Not sure why people are replying with "I got a good dump" and that's it. c4e has confirmed the new 83850c's aren't dumpable atm so just wait and see I guess.

If you are in the States MOST consoles on the store shelves are still moddable.
