A little helpful info, at least I hope it will be (IMG:

All 250GB consoles sold here ( mostly import from UK ) are with 93850c drives.
120GB Elite consoles, manufactured August or September are with 83850c and for both months some drives are flashable, and some are not. 93850c drives were spotted in them too ( a September one ).
Here most of the Arcades with Banjo were manufactured July and were with completely flashable 83850c drives.
Now there are Banjo arcades manufactured September, but there drives are known for now.
Two weeks ago I've ordered a 120GB Elite from Amazon.co.uk, and it was manufactured on 25th of August with an unflashable 83850c ( gets to the first close / open drive step, and fails then, every time, done in DOS, so jungle crashes are not the cause (IMG:

Flashed many consoles from July with 83850c and not one unflashable from that month.
All unflashable 83850c are manufactured in August.
I think that's all (IMG:

Good luck hacking it ( for us of course ) and my Google be with you!
