Hitachi 79 Doa And My Willem Programmer Is Playing Up Help
« on: September 11, 2009, 02:32:00 PM »

Back in the day before used to do loads of hitachi's using the willem to reprogram the sst but today just got an hitachi drive through the post to upgrade that was DOA. I have removed the chip and put it in my willem but I think the willem is playing up.

When I press ID I don't get the correct details I get.

Manufacturer : D5
Device code: 5E

If I go to read the device its reading the first 256 bytes but then filling up the rest of the 256K with that 256 bytes so its no good.

I have been using the willem now and again to program pic12f629s etc and have reset the dip switch's to correct settings for sst39vf020 but still no good.

I'm using 0.97ja as any newer version doesn't even get as far as this..
