I'm glad that you've decided not to send the letter. As polite as the letter seems, it won't make a difference. Tecmo will still stand its ground, and NH will still be closed forever. Also, there are a lot of things in the letter that really shouldn't be said anyway.

It's only if I decided to sell them that would give a game developer a case against me.  If he would have had more money to defend himself, which would have required more than he could have possibly got, Team Ninja wouldn't have "won" anything.  wink.gif

It doesn't matter what you persoanlly think bill, it is the will of tecmo, and they were danm smart to do it. they have legal grounds with there disclaimers, and prolly 10% of there profit might have come from just suing people. I hear ninjahacker wasn't the only case.. tecmos' actually got a history of suing people in japan. but i don't have the details.

I'm not going to start a flame war, but if you have no interest in DOA, then get out of this thread. "teh way of the past" !! pff  if bungie sued halomods.com, of course people would keep modding, its not if the game is crap or not, i'll tell you i've played enough halo, to the point not a single mod impresses me anymore. like "wow you can run fast and jump hi.. neat"

Currently I've been working a project i call DOA-SEED, its a collectin of NH'ers work, just the doa stuff, combined in a html document, containing tuts and patches. But i have removed all nude patches, also other extreme measures will be in-place to protect me and my new forum. this is of course a distribution much like the DOA3 skin pack released by demetri, therefore i'm not remotley afarid to release this project. Because this time around i'll be 10 more discret. i doubt they'll track me down for patches a tuts.

its a no brainer why tecmo attack a small community compared to 100's of torrent sites and piraters.. they can stomp ONE forum but they can't stomp them all. I'm guessing not alot of companies deal with illegal game distribution for all the same reasons you just can't stop something soo massive. Sadly NH was very consintrated and setup for the perfect attack. also it was attarctng to much attention from what i heard, not just publicity but a few weirdos..

Oh my god Bills. I can't believe that you are attempting to get the NH database! Are you out of your mind?! And yes, you do have a big ego! Hell, I don't want to argue with you and your pointless drivel. Forget you!

QUOTE(mariokart64n @ Aug 11 2005, 06:25 PM)
Bills was right i did smile at the possiblilty of steeling NH... haha hell i've never been to NH i can only imagine the missing knowledge contained in there. well since i let the cat out of the bag.. bill was abile to locate the admin panel of NH. meaning the core files of NH still remain.., well doh right we keep geting that dumb ninjackers is down page. but i won't have thought cypher would left all the files there.. even parts of the upload folder are still accessible.. Bill never went as far as cracking the password get into the admin panel.. but i persude it a bit farther.. assumming cyhper has too many accounts, he'd obviously stick to a single pass. i do it, its almost immpossible to remeber every pass i got for each board. so i started browsing our SQL database in order to get hold of cyphers password, it likly be the key to the admin panel. Did i get his password, of course not, event tho it be easily obtained by converting numbers within the sql, what would this do by getting into the admin panel?... find out if the real database is really gone. if so, so be it.. but that project was drop of course i have no need to hack the doors of NH, all the knowledge i have is nestled nicely in my head.. and thats enough for me, doa modding lives on wink.gif
