Pro Evo Soccer 4 Updates
« on: December 17, 2004, 01:01:00 AM »

Hello ive been seeing lots of updates around for the PS2 but ive seen some for xbox but it was either in french(i dont have the french version of pes) or the file was in some .afs format with lots of .bins which i have no idea what they are at all. Albeing a .bin is burnt from a .cue and i doubt you need to burn each file. So does anyone have a good update for pes which is fairly easy to install or you could help me with. Also if possible in english language not french please.

Thanks

Head over to Soccergaming.tv, and search around, there are a few patches for the xbox version i believe, and the .afs file is the file where all the data for the game is, like kits, boots..etc. The .bins are the files shich contain the graphic files which must be imported into the .afs file. There are also utilities available for that.

Why is it such a pain in the @ss to get files for this game?  There doesn't seem to be anything in English and all I can find are links to sites with nothing on them.

Personally, all I'm looking for is a save file with all the correct team names and lineups.  Would have thought it a piece of cake.  Been looking for over a month.

Hey, thanks.  Think I found the file I want.

Can you simply burn the files you DL onto a CD-RW and copy them onto your HD? Maybe convert them via XISO?  Don't want to FTP.

I've DLed this PES4 file and would like to get it working on my Xbox. It seems to be just what I wanted :)

The problem is that I looked inside the .rar file and wasn't really sure what it is or where to put it :(

I asked in their forums but they're dead.  Not sure if I'll get an answer there (so I'm asking here as well).

thanks

its a savegame. copy it to ur xbox E:\udata\blah blah blah...
easiest method is via ftp, next is use a file management program like boxplorer. or use xbmc, there's a python script to autodownload / extract the zips.

Reccomend u stick to ftp for now though

I can't FTP.  Only via burned CD/DVD.

So should I extract the .rar file, then run XISO on it, burn it to a CD, then put it on my HD (PES4 save folder?)?

thanks

I've already tried, which is why I don't want to do it.  Burning stuff to CD/DVD is easy too, as long as I know where stuff is supposed to go (and it what format).
